About Us

The practice was started in Grove City by Dr. Rick Mather in 1980. Construction of the current facility began in 1985.

We are now staffed by six full time veterinarians, including one board certified surgeon. We have a satellite location in Florida to support the horses at winter training facilities in the South. All of our doctors are committed to continuing education and attend conferences nationwide to stay on top of the latest medical and surgical advances in equine veterinary care.

Our 35 stall hospital facility includes 1 surgery suite with 2 recovery stalls, full pharmacy and lab, two treatment areas and 5 fully-equipped ambulatory vehicles. Our doctors travel to many areas to meet the needs of our equine patients at their various training venues.

We are proud of our support staff, consisting of our office personnel, licensed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and facility supervisors. Their hard work and caring are an essential part of our veterinary team and the care of our patients.

Monday through Friday – 7:30am to 5pm
Saturdays 7:30am to 4pm
